61 was the first year of the Cutlass. I am the second "titled" owner. The original owner had this car until 1999.
It is in exceptional original condition. Receipts substantiate the 79,000 mileage reading to be accurate. I have kept it garaged (it also has a cover), and from the exterior condition, so did the previous owner(s). I have put less than 1000 miles on the car over the past 4 years.
Engine is a 215 cid V8, auto transmission, 4 bbl carb.
A good paint job was done about 1993. The upholstery and headliner appears original and is in very good condition. The carpet has some wear but under the floor mats.
All trim and emblems are intact, original hub caps, trunk liner, jack and spare, original owners manual, even the original tube radio is still installed. The only non-original modifications were a couple of after-market speakers installed in the back and a new radiator overflow bottle.
Recent work I had performed:
Carb boiled and kit installed
New radiator and overflow bottle
Master brake cylinder rebuilt
2 new tires
Brake pads were looked at but did not need replacement
This car is in such good shape, the list of items not working is limited to:
windshield wipers (may be ok but no vacumm hooked up)
original radio (powers up, may just be antenna connection)
dash pot on carb
I am asking $4500 but will entertain reasonable offers. If you are web savvy, you can investigate this car and find it to be rare.
Call 480-820-5233 or 480-222-0330 or email me. I am not a dealer (except on poker night).
Lastly, it comes with 2 St. Christophers (which apparently work very well), a 1970 penny under the seat, and a receipt from 1965 for something that costs $.29 (probably a quart of oil or maybe a hamburger ?).
